My current perfume favourites

When it comes to perfumes, rather than having one “signature scent”, I prefer having a few different options on the go and like to switch things up every so often. As a whole, I am into floral, citrusy and fresh smelling scents, nothing too sickly sweet or I-can-smell-you-from-the-next-room overpowering. The 3 bottles I’m currently using I am absolutely loving, so I thought I would do a review on each of them…

Mojave Ghost by Byredo

I had been wanting a Byredo fragrance for ages, but couldn’t decide on which one, finally I bit the bullet and went for Mojave Ghost. It has the perfect balance of floral, fruit and wood and has become my go-to day perfume, spritzing it on every morning before work. The scent has really good staying power and lasts all day, without being too overpowering and I ALWAYS get compliments when wearing it. A great first experience into the world of Byredo. Love love love!

Notes: Ambrette, Sapodilla, Violet, Sandalwood, Magnolia, Ambergris, Cedar

Dahlia Divin by Givenchy

I love most Givenchy perfumes, so when I found myself at the Givenchy Duty Free counter of an airport between a delayed flight, I doused myself in this, then impulse bought it (sorry to whoever was sitting next to me on the plane). The scent is warm and sexy, but in a beautifully subtle, day time kind of way. My only gripe is the staying power could be a little better.

Notes: Mirabelle Plum, Jasmine, White Florals, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli

Si by Giorgio Armani

Ohhh man, this is by far the most seductive perfume I’ve ever owned and has definitely become my “special occasion” fragrance. It has a very warm, sophisticated scent to it and a little goes a long way – the smallest amount lasts all day, if you choose to wear it in the day (I do on occasion, hence why it’s now half full!), but it is a perfect evening fragrance too. Chic and intense, I’ve never smelled anything like it.

Notes: Blackcurrant Nectar, Modern Chypre, Blond Wood Musk, Freesia, May Rose
